Bishop’s Castle – Brampton Road – parking restrictions

Description

The 20mph Zone, waiting restrictions and traffic calming on Brampton Road (west) and changes to the speed limit on the A488 and Brampton Road (east) are proposed as part of Shropshire Council’s Schools 20mph initiative and will improve the safety of school children, residents and other road users in the vicinity of The Community College Bishop’s Castle.

The installation and formalisation of School Keep Clear markings on B4385 Brampton Road (west) is to improve pedestrian visibility and safety outside The Community College Bishops Castle.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (BRAMPTON ROAD, BISHOP’S CASTLE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce the following parking restrictions on Brampton Road (west), Bishop’s Castle:

No Waiting or Loading At Any Time

Brampton Road (west)

(north side)

Commencing at its junction with Bowling Green Close for a distance of 49 metres in a north-westerly direction

 

Commencing at its junction with Bowling Green Close for a distance of 54 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Brampton Road (west)

(south side)

Commencing at its junction with Bowling Green Close for a distance of 49 metres in a north-westerly direction

 

Commencing at a point 44 metres southeast of its junction with Bowling Green Close for a distance of 9 metres in a south-easterly direction

No Waiting - Monday to Saturday 8am - 9am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm

Commencing from a point 49 metres west of its junction with Bowling Green Close for a distance of 16 metres in a north-westerly direction

School Keep Clear markings (Prohibition of Stopping)

Brampton Road (west)

(south side)

Commencing at a point 22 metres southeast of its junction with the Community College main access to a point 22 metres northwest of its junction with the Community College main access.
