Description

Permanent changes to the waiting and loading restrictions are proposed on Bridgnorth High Street to allow traders and members of the public to safely use the west side of the road for the Saturday market, following a successful trial of similar restrictions earlier this year.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (HIGH STREET AND CARTWAY, BRIDGNORTH) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to parking restrictions on High Street and Cartway in Bridgnorth:

Limited waiting Sunday - Friday 8am - 6pm 40 minutes no return 1 hour. No waiting and no loading Saturday 6:30am - 6pm

High Street (west side)

From a point 16 metres north of its junction with Whitburn Street for a distance of 17 metres in a generally northerly direction

Disabled badge holders only Sunday - Friday 24 hours and Saturday 6pm - midnight.
No waiting and no loading Saturday 6:30am - 6pm

High Street (west side) Between a point 9 metres and 16 metres north of its junction with Whitburn Street.

From a point 16m south-east of the junction with Whitburn Street for 3.5m in a south easterly direction.

Limited waiting Sun-Fri 8am - 6pm 40 minutes no return 1 hour.
No waiting and no loading Saturday 6:30am - 6pm

High Street (west side) From a point 12 metres south of its junction with Whitburn Street for a distance of 66 metres in a southerly direction.

From a point 6 metres south of its junction with St Mary's Street for a distance of 62m in a southerly direction.

Motorcycle Bay Sun-Fri. Saturday - Motorcycles only midnight - 6:30am and 6pm - midnight. No waiting and no loading 6:30am - 6pm.

High Street (south-west side) From a point 35m north-west of the junction with St Mary's Street for a distance of 2.5m in a north westerly direction

From a point 3m south-east of the junction with St Mary's Street for a distance of 5m in a south easterly direction

No waiting and no loading at any time

High Street (east side) From a point 7 metres north of its junction with Cartway to its junction with Postern Gate

Cartway (north side) From its junction with High Street for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction.

Cartway (south side) From its junction with Postern Gate for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction.


Any existing restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.
