Button Oak - changes to speed limit

Description

Following discussions between the parish council, Shropshire Council and West Mercia Police regarding the present 30mph speed limit and its effectiveness, it has been agreed to progress with consultation to raise the speed limit back to 40mph through the village without any additional traffic calming or speed reduction measures. This will ultimately enable speed enforcement to be carried out.

ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to change the speed limits in Button Oak, as follows:

The current 30mph speed limits on:

The B4194 Kinlet to Bewdley Road between points 711 metres north-west and 533 metres south-east of its junction with the unclassified road to Pound Green, and

The unclassified road to Pound Green from its junction with the B4194 Kinlet to Bewdley Road for a distance of 27metres in a generally north-easterly direction.

...will become 40mph speed limits.
