Description 

The introduction of a 20mph speed limit on the roads in the vicinity of Church Preen Primary School in line with Shropshire Council’s guidance from 2023 is proposed to improve the safety of school children near Church Preen Primary School.

The extents of the 20mph limit are proposed to cover the main school entrances as well as the crossroads junction adjacent to the school.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF SHREWSBURY & ATCHAM) (NO. 2) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce a 20mph speed limit onto the following lengths of roads in Church Preen:

The unclassified road to Kenley (known as Kenley Common to Church Preen School)

From its junction with the unclassified road to Hughley (known as Hughley to Church Preen School) for a distance of 141 metres in a northerly direction.

The unclassified road to Hughley (known as Hughley to Church Preen School)

From its junction with the unclassified road to Longville (known as Church Preen School to Red House Farm Lane) for a distance of 125 metres in an easterly direction.

The unclassified road to Longville (known as Church Preen School to Red House Farm Lane)

From its junction with the unclassified road to Church Preen (known as Church Preen to School) for a distance of 152 metres in a southerly direction.

The unclassified road to Church Preen (known as Church Preen to School)

From its junction with the unclassified road to Kenley (known as Kenley Common to Church Preen School) for a distance of 147 metres in a westerly direction.
