Community Equipment survey

Proposal

Have your say to improve support for people to remain independent

Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin NHS and Councils are reviewing two of our community services that support people to regain and maintain their independence:

  • Community Equipment Loan Services - these services provide health and social care equipment, such as beds, bath lifts, stand aids and toilet raisers to patients to help them leave hospital safely and/or stay independent and mobile in their homes.
  • Community Beds Services - a range of services that promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary admission to acute hospitals, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living. The services are provided on a short-term basis, in hospital, or care home, usually after a stay in hospital following an illness or injury and before returning home.

As part of these reviews, it is important to us that we seek out and listen to the experiences and views of people to improve our services. Your feedback will be used to help develop them by understanding what matters to you and what you feel is most important, which in turn enables us to strengthen areas of a future service based on what you tell us.

We want to hear from people who have used these services as well as those who haven't but might in the future.
