Shropshire Council is planning to implement a safety improvement scheme at Crowmere Road, Shrewsbury. As part of this scheme it is proposed to install five sets of speed cushions and introduce a 20mph speed limit between Bage Way roundabout and the junction with Harcourt Crescent in order to help reduce vehicle speeds, and the likelihood and severity of road casualties. Two junction plateaux will also be provided as part of the works (one at the junction of Clive Road and one at Belvidere School). As part of the improvement works street lighting will also be reviewed along the route. |

SAFETY IMPROVEMENT SCHEME
Shropshire Council will construct speed cushions (2m long x 1.65m wide x 6575mm high) at the following locations on Crowmere Road, Shrewsbury in order to reduce the speed of traffic.
1) 9m east of its junction with Grinshill Drive.
2) 67m west of its junction with Clive Road.
3) 18m east of its junction with Upton Lane.
4) 20m north-east of its junction with Hinton Drive.
5) 11m west of its junction with Harcourt Crescent.
Shropshire Council will construct junction plateaux (75-100mm high with entry/exit ramps between 1.2m and 2m) at the following locations:-
1) Crowmere Road junction with Clive Road - on Crowmere Road between a point 18m west and 17m east of its junction with Clive Road, and on Clive Road from its junction with Crowmere Road to a point 12m north of that junction.
2) Crowmere Road at its access to Belvidere School - on Crowmere Road between a point 77m east of its junction with Upton Lane, and a point 53m south-west of its junction with Hinton Drive.
