Emstrey Bank – speed limit

This Speed Limit Order proposes a 40mph speed limit along part of the B4380 Emstrey Bank between the A5 and Emstrey, aiming to improve road safety, in an area where there are significant numbers of vehicle turning movements.  

A 50mph limit is proposed in the remaining section of the B4380 between Emstrey and Atcham, aiming to improve road safety.

Proposal

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF SHREWSBURY & ATCHAM) (NO. 2) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO.) ORDER 

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce the following speed limits onto the B4380 Emstrey Bank:

40mph Speed Limit

B4380 Emstrey Bank

From a point 75 metres southeast of its junction with the A5 to a point 500 metres southeast of its junction with the A5.

50mph Speed Limit

B4380 Emstrey Bank

From a point 500 metres southeast of its junction with the A5 to a point 86 metres west of its junction with the C5062 Atcham to Cross Houses road.
