Description

A speed reduction from 60mph to 40mph is proposed to provide a buffer zone to reduce traffic speeds entering the existing 30mph speed restriction, facilitating and improving safety and amenities for vehicular traffic and all road users.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF SHREWSBURY & ATCHAM) (NO. 2) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to place a 40mph speed limit on the following length of road in Hanwood:

That length of the A488 Shrewsbury to Knighton Road from a point 146 metres east of its junction with Caradoc View to a point 150 metres east of the eastern most wall of the main building of property 1 Edgebold Cottage.

Outcome

Proposals did not go ahead as we were unable to complete the on-site signing and lining works before the expiration of the statutory two year time limit between advertising proposals and implementing them. Re-advertisement of the proposals will follow shortly.
