We can all benefit from a bigger, better and more connected approach to nature recovery. And together, we can make a lasting impact on our local environment.

The Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin LNRS has been drafted for public consultation, and your feedback is important in creating a new vision for our natural spaces, with a strategy that reflects local needs and ambition.

Everyone's voice matters, whether you're a resident, farmer, business owner or someone who's simply passionate about nature.

Why share your views?

Help us create a strategy that reflects the needs and aspirations of our community. Your participation is vital because:

• Local knowledge: you know your local area best! And this knowledge of local habitats can help us pinpoint important sites for action and develop solutions that work
• Make a difference: your input can influence policies to protect our natural environment for future generations
• Your views matter: solutions need to be practical if we're to all play a part in nature recovery, so tell us where you think the opportunities and challenges are for nature recovery in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin
• Community engagement: your feedback will shape a shared vision for nature recovery across diverse communities
• Collective impact: we can tackle environmental challenges more effectively when we work together

How to take part

The online consultation survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and you'll need a bit of time to review the strategy document and maps first. The survey should be completed in one session or progress may not be saved.

Here's a quick guide to taking part:

1. Download and review the written LNRS document (PDF) and take a look at the LNRS interactive map
2. Add comments to the map - look at the map and add any comments about specific locations
3. Start the survey - access the online survey via the 'How to get involved' tab on this page
4. Respond - answer the multiple choice survey questions and add comments (all questions are optional) which should take approximately 10-15 minutes
5. Submit - review your answers and select ‘Submit' to share them with us
