Description |
The proposed changes will concentrate the 30mph speed limit more closely on the built-up area of the village, inducing better observance of the 30mph limit whilst also aiding enforcement action. The proposed 40 “buffer“ limits will provide a graduated approach to the 30mph limit, thus keeping the overall mandatory limit approximately the same length as previously. |

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF SOUTH SHROPSHIRE (SPEED LIMITS) (PART 2) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER
We propose to change the speed limit in Longville-in-the-Dale as follows:
40mph speed limit
- That length of the B4371 from a point 122m southwest of its junction with the unclassified road to Plaish to a point 314m southwest of this junction.
- That length of the B4371 from a point 45m northeast of its junction with the unclassified road to Lushcott to a point 213m northeast of this junction.
30mph speed limit
- That length of the B4371 from a point 122m southwest of its junction with the unclassified road to Plaish to a point 45m northeast of its junction with the unclassified road to Lushcott.
- That length of the unclassified road leading to Plaish from its junction with the B4371 for a distance of 100m in a generally northwesterly direction.
- That length of the unclassified road leading to Broadstone from its junction with the B4371 for a distance of 30m in a generally southwesterly direction.
- That length of the unclassified road leading to Lushcott from its junction with the B4371 for a distance of 48m in a northeasterly direction
