Lower Heath – Speed limits
|
Description |
The introduction of a variable 20mph speed limit along the B5065 at Lower Heath, in line with Shropshire Council’s guidance from 2023, is proposed to improve the safety of school children, residents and other road users during school peak times. The proposals are being implemented on the B5065 following assessment of motor vehicle speed data and pedestrian movements around the school accesses on this road. The terminal signs are implemented in areas where there is suitable verge with and to maintain the minimum required length for a speed limit. The 30mph limit at the southwestern extent of the scheme is being extended to provide a buffer zone into the variable speed limit. |
