The purpose of this weight restriction is to stop large trucks taking short cuts between the A456 and the A4117 through Neen Sollars, which is causing environmental and structural damage in the village.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, NEEN SOLLARS)
(7.5T WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 

Shropshire Council proposes to place a 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads around Neen Sollars: 

  • The unclassified route from Milson to Neen Sollars
  • The unclassified route from Southwood to Neen Sollars
  • The unclassified route from the A456 to Neen Sollars

The restriction will not apply to vehicles over 7.5T that need to load or unload at premises on any of these routes.
