A copy of the application and a map of the area can be viewed on this page, or at Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury during weekdays between 8.30am to 5pm, or at the Parish Hall in Stoke-on-Tern.

Note:

Following the introduction of the Localism Act 2011, the purpose of designating a neighbourhood area is for a neighbourhood plan to then be prepared for that area. Stoke Upon Tern Parish Council is in the earliest stages of considering a neighbourhood plan and this application seeks now to formalise the process.

Day centres consultation

We're inviting people who use day centres in Shropshire, their family members, carers, members of the public, professionals and our stakeholders to have their say on proposed changes to Shropshire Council’s in-house day services. These are services Shropshire Council runs and delivers.

Shifnal – Various Streets – parking restrictions

The introduction of waiting restrictions along Curriers Lane and its junctions with Barn Road and Greenfield Crescent will provide unrestricted access along the road increasing visibility for all road users including pedestrians, cyclists and motorists, reduce congestion and improve air quality.

Cosford – 30mph Speed Limit

The introduction of a 30mph speed limit along Worcester Road West aims to improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and other road users travelling between Cosford Train station and the RAF Cosford museum. The speed limit changes will facilitate the introduction of a 2m wide footway that is to be installed on the south side of the carriageway, as currently pedestrians walk along the verge. With the reduced speed limit, cyclists will be able to cycle on the carriageway more safely. The proposals are being implemented following assessment of vehicle speed data and pedestrian movements between the train station and the museum, both during term time and in the school holidays. The proposals are being implemented along Neachley Lane and Long Lane in order maintain a continuous 30mph speed limit in the vicinity of the museum and air base.
