Draft Shrewsbury Town Centre Design Code
The Draft Shrewsbury Town Centre Design Code is a detailed framework designed to enhance the character and visual appeal of Shrewsbury town centre through high-quality design.
The purpose of the Oswestry Shopfront Design Guide is to encourage high-quality shopfront design which meets the needs of modern businesses whilst conserving the historic character which makes the town special. The Guide is aimed at current and future shop owners, together with their architects and agents, but will also support decision-making through the Planning system. It provides additional guidance in relation to existing planning polices and is intended to inspire and raise the bar of good design. It is intended as a practical guide and includes examples, case studies and links to useful resources.
Shropshire Council is seeking feedback from key stakeholders on this guide, including (but not limited to) shop owners and businesses, designers and architects, local community organisations, and members of the public.
