Design of Residential Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document Consultation
Shropshire Council is proposing a new Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to provide design guidance for residential extensions and alterations.
People are being asked whether the polling stations in their area are suitable, as part of a review being carried out by Shropshire Council.
Comments are invited from anyone with an interest, such as elected members within the Ludlow, North Shropshire and Shrewsbury and Atcham Parliamentary constituencies, councillors, local political parties and appropriate organisations relating to the accessibility of premises for people with different forms of disability.
Anyone making representations about specific polling station venues should, if possible, give alternative places that could be used as polling places.
All comments need to be received by Tuesday 5 August 2014 to allow the elections office to make any alterations necessary to the register of electors when it is next fully revised on Monday 1 December 2014.
This review of polling districts, polling places and polling stations is in accordance with the Representation of the People Act 1983 (as amended by the Electoral Administration Act 2006).
The Returning Officer for Shropshire Council will make comments on existing arrangements and suggested amendments.
If you would like to submit any comments about the polling stations in your area, please use the contact details on this page.
