INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES
ON VARIOUS ROADS IN PONTESBURY

Notice is hereby given that Shropshire Council, in exercise of their powers Under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, propose to establish traffic calming measures at various places in Pontesbury, as below:

A pair of speed cushions is proposed at the following location on the A488 Main Road, Pontesbury (typically, the speed cushions will be 65-75mm high, 2-3m long, and 1.6-2m wide):

  1. 37 metres west of the junction with Yarlington Orchard.

Individual speed cushions are proposed at the following locations on the A488 Hall Bank, Pontesbury (typically, the speed cushions will be 65-75mm high, 2-3m long, and 1.6-2m wide):

  1. 14 metres east of the junction with Wray Drive
  2. 92 metres east of the junction with Wray Drive
  3. 163 metres east of the junction with Wray Drive
  4.  13 metres south of the junction with Manor Gardens
  5. 13 metres west of the eastern junction with the A488 Main Road

One flat top road hump (max height 100mm) is proposed across the full width of the carriageway at the following location on Brookside in Pontesbury in order to control the speed of traffic:

  • Located at a distance of 10m south of its junction with Minsterley Road, approximately 13m in length (including ramps).
