Removal of the existing five hackney carriage zones

Proposal

We're seeking your comments on the removal of the five existing hackney carriage zones and the application of a single hackney carriage licensing regime throughout the administrative area of Shropshire Council.

On the 20 June 2018 the Strategic Licensing Committee agreed to consult on the removal of the existing five hackney carriage zones, to commence on 25 June 2018 and run for ten weeks to midnight on the 2 September 2018.

Please note that this consultation is separate to the consultation on the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy 2019-2023.  Comments relating to this consultation must be forwarded to the Licensing Team and clearly state that they are being submitted in relation to the consultation on the removal of the five hackney carriage zones.

Any comments received regarding this proposal will be considered by our Strategic Licensing Committee on the 3 October 2018.
