Schools survey - Shropshire Council traded services

Proposal

We're currently reviewing the services provided to schools and are keen to hear from all local schools to better understand experiences and views.

The feedback received from schools will help us identify what's working, where improvements are needed, and how we can shape services going forward to better meet local needs.

The topics within the survey cover main areas of support Shropshire Council offers to schools including:

  • HR / Payroll
  • School Improvement
  • IT Support
  • Cleaning / Facilities Management
  • Catering
  • Educational Psychology
  • SEN / Inclusion Support
  • Safeguarding Support
  • Data / MIS Services
  • Finance / Audit
  • Training & CPD

It's important we hear from both those currently using Shropshire Council's services and those who may choose to in future. This range of views will ensure that any future plans and service changes are informed by the full range of school perspectives.

The survey will close on 30 July. Click on the 'How to get involved' tab to share your views.

Shifnal – Various Streets – parking restrictions

The introduction of waiting restrictions along Curriers Lane and its junctions with Barn Road and Greenfield Crescent will provide unrestricted access along the road increasing visibility for all road users including pedestrians, cyclists and motorists, reduce congestion and improve air quality.

Cosford – 30mph Speed Limit

The introduction of a 30mph speed limit along Worcester Road West aims to improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and other road users travelling between Cosford Train station and the RAF Cosford museum. The speed limit changes will facilitate the introduction of a 2m wide footway that is to be installed on the south side of the carriageway, as currently pedestrians walk along the verge. With the reduced speed limit, cyclists will be able to cycle on the carriageway more safely. The proposals are being implemented following assessment of vehicle speed data and pedestrian movements between the train station and the museum, both during term time and in the school holidays. The proposals are being implemented along Neachley Lane and Long Lane in order maintain a continuous 30mph speed limit in the vicinity of the museum and air base.
