ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to change the speed limits on the following lengths of roads in Shifnal:

30mph speed limit (by virtue of street lighting)

  • Aston Street (north side)                                    
    From a point 116m east from its junction with Bradford Street to its junction with Greenfields
  • Aston Street (south side)
    From a point 123m east from its junction with Bradford Street to its junction with Greenfields
  • Park Street
    From a point 102m south of its junction with The Grove to its junction with Park Lane

20mph speed limit zone

  • Aston Street (north side)                                    
    From its junction with Bradford Street to a point 116 metres east of that junction
  • Aston Street (south side)
    From its junction with Bradford Street to a point 123 metres east of that junction
  • Park Street
    From its junction with Market Place to a point 102 metres south of The Grove. 

The existing speed limits at the above locations will be revoked.

The restrictions are proposed to replace the existing school keep clear markings that are not enforceable and will be located in the same place as the existing markings.

Bicton Heath – parking restrictions

The parking restrictions are intended to provide junction protection, deter commuter parking and ensure emergency vehicle access.
