ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 23
ESTABLISHMENT OF PUFFIN PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
CHESTER STREET, SHREWSBURY
Notice is hereby given that Shropshire Council, in exercise of their powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, proposes to establish a Puffin Crossing as follows:
Puffin Crossing on CHESTER STREET, SHREWSBURY at a point approximately 80 metres north of its junction with Smithfield Road.
A plan illustrating the proposals may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at Shrewsbury Library, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury.
Any person wishing to make representations in relation to this proposal should do so by 13 March 2025 by:

School keep clear markings are proposed at the school entrance on the unclassified road to Church Preen.
Proposed new charges to take effect from 9 February 2026.
