Stanley Lane area safety improvement scheme

Proposal

Shropshire Council is planning to implement a safety improvement scheme on Stanley Lane, Meole Brace. As part of this scheme it is proposed to install three sets of speed cushions and extend the 20mph speed limit to help reduce vehicle speeds, and the likelihood and severity of road casualties. A new off-carriageway layby will be provided to facilitate school drop-off and pick-up by parents, and a wider footway outside the school access. Parking restrictions are planned around the school access to reduce the risk of conflict between students and vehicles.
