In accordance with The Marriage Act 1949 (as amended), The Marriages (Approved Premises) Regulations 1995 and The Civil Partnership Act 2004, notice is hereby given that an application has been made by:

Trustees of the Powis Castle Estate

being the proprietor of premises situated at and known as

Ludlow Castle
Castle Square
Ludlow
Shropshire
SY8 1AY

for the solemnisation of marriages in pursuance of Section 26(1)(bb) of the Marriage Act 1949 and the registration of civil partnerships in pursuance of Section 6(3A)(a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.

How to get involved

The applications, together with plans of the premises that accompanied it, may be inspected at the offices of the Registration Service, Shropshire Council, The Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 8HQ between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Please telephone 0345 678 9016 to make an appointment before attending.

Any person may give notice in writing to Lisa Fawcett, Superintendent Registrar, at the above address or email registrars@shropshire.gov.uk of an objection to the grant of approval of such applications, with reasons for such objection, within 21 days from the date this notice appears.

The extents of the 20mph limit are proposed to cover the main school entrances on New Park Road, in line with data analysis of the movements around the school.
