|
Description
|
The introduction of a variable 20mph/30mph speed limit along the B4386 Shrewsbury to Montgomery Road, in line with Council’s guidance from 2023, aims to improve the safety of school children, residents and other road users during the school peak times. The proposals are being implemented on the B4386 Shrewsbury to Montgomery Road following assessment of vehicle speed data and pedestrian movements around the school pedestrian access on this road. Additional roads outside of the scheme extents have been included in this order for administrative purposes. The roads included are Brockton Meadow, Brookside, Croft Close, Millstream, Oakfield Close, Oakfield Cottages, Rectory Gardens, The Hawthorns and along the unclassified road from the B4386 leading to Hampton Beach. These are included to reflect changes to street lighting on these roads and ensure consistency of speed limits. |
