Description |
The introduction of a 20mph speed limit on Dark Lane, Broseley in line with Shropshire Council’s guidance from 2023, is proposed to improve the safety of school children, residents and other road users near Broseley C of E Primary School. The extents of the 20mph limit are proposed to cover the main school entrances on Dark Lane, in line with data analysis of the movements around the school. |

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF BRIDGNORTH) (SPEED LIMITS) (PART 2) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER
Shropshire Council proposes to introduce a 20mph speed limit around Broseley C of E Primary School, as follows:

Dark Lane |
From a point 14 metres north of the centre of the access track leading to Haycop Nature Reserve on the east side of Dark Land between no.3 and The Firs, Dark Lane, Broseley TF12 5LH, to a point 20 metres south of the centre of its junction with Yew Tree Wood. |
Any existing speed limits at the above locations will be revoked.

Alteration of pedestrian crossing.
The introduction of a 20mph speed limit on the roads in the vicinity of Church Preen Primary School to improve the safety of schoolchildren.
The introduction of no waiting at any time restrictions on Station Road Whittington is proposed to prevent vehicle conflicts caused by inconsiderate parking in the turning area on the adopted highway. The introduction of mandatory disabled badge holder parking bays is to provide parking for disabled badge holders near to local amenities.
