Description

This traffic regulation order proposes the introduction of a 30mph speed limit for the village of Frodesley. The purpose is to restrict vehicle speeds to a level appropriate to the environment of the village in the interests of safety for all road users, and improved quality of life for local residents.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL

(BOROUGH OF SHREWSBURY & ATCHAM) (NO. 2)

(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Frodesley:

C5156 Longnor road

From its junction with the C5138 Condover road for a distance of 352 metres in a southwesterly direction. 

C5138 Condover road

From its junction with the C5156 Longnor to Acton Burnell road for a distance of 53 metres in a northwesterly direction. 

C5156 Acton Burnell road

From its junction with the unclassified U5802 road leading into the main Frodesley Village for a distance of 167 metres in a northeasterly direction.

Unclassified U5802 road leading into the main Frodesley Village

From its junction with the C5156 Longnor to Acton Burnell road to a point 161 metres south of the property boundary between Meadowlands and Cottage Farm.

Adjustment of the existing 30mph speed limit to facilitate the introduction of the 20mph zone. This reduction of speed limit will also contribute to an improvement in air quality in this area.
