| Title of Scheme | Shrewsbury - Abbey Foregate - Loading and Taxi Bays |
| Description
 | The introduction of double yellow lines on the north side of Abbey Foregate (from The Narrows in an easterly direction) will make the waiting restrictions in the area consistent, yet still allow for unrestricted loading and unloading. The provision of a 24 hour taxi rank on the south-east side of the Abbey Foregate Loop Road will improve the amenities here by increasing both the day and night time taxi rank availability. It will also help to enhance the night time economy. The adjacent loading bay has been situated so as to serve the local businesses in the vicinity. All these measures are part of The Shrewsbury Integrated Transport Package, specifically “Key Junction Improvements at Abbey Foregate”. |
