Since the last North West Relief Road (NWRR) consultation in 2017, Shropshire Council has been working on an updated design for the scheme, which now incorporates the previously separate Oxon Link Road scheme. The NWRR will connect the A5 at Welshpool Road roundabout in the west to the Ellesmere Road roundabout in the north, with new bridges over the River Severn and the Shrewsbury to Chester railway line.
The Council is now preparing to apply for planning permission for the road to be submitted in May 2020 and is taking the opportunity to remind stakeholders and residents about the scheme and to understand current opinion.
