Stoke-on-Tern School: speed limits

Description

The introduction of a variable 20mph along Rose Hill Road, Ollerton Lane and Wistanswick Road, Heathcote, in line with council's guidance from 2023, is proposed to improve the safety of school children, residents and other road users during the school peak times.

The proposals are being implemented following assessment of vehicle speed data and pedestrian movements around school accesses on this road. Terminal sign locations are proposed to cover the approaches to the crossroads on which the school sits, in areas where there is suitable verge space to accommodate the signs.

The existing 30mph limits on the western and southern arms of the crossroads have been extended on some arms, to accommodate a buffer zone into the 20mph limit.
