Description

The creation of a signed 40mph buffer zone, and a reduction in length of the existing signed 30mph speed limit on the B4385 northern approach to Twitchen, will allow for appropriate enforcement of the speed limit, and this will improve road safety along the stretch of road.

(SPEED LIMITS) (PART 2) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to the speed limits in Twitchen:

30mph Speed Limit to be Revoked

  • That length of the B4385, Lydbury North to Hoptonheath Road from a point 298 metres north-west of its junction with the Unclassified Road leading to Aston-on-Clun to a point 293 metres south-east of its junction with Redwood Lane
  • That length of the Unclassified Road leading from its junction with the B4385, Lydbury North to Hoptonheath Road, Glenside junction towards Aston-on-Clun for a distance of 46 metres

New 40mph Speed Limit

  • That length of the B4385, Lydbury North to Hoptonheath Road from a point 298 metres north-west of its junction with the Unclassified Road leading to Aston-on-Clun to the turning for Twitchen Methodist Church and the disused quarry
  • That length of the Unclassified Road leading from its junction with the B4385, Lydbury North to Hoptonheath Road, Glenside junction towards Aston-on-Clun for a distance of 46 metres

New 30mph Speed Limit

  • That length of the B4385, Lydbury North to Hoptonheath Road from the turning for Twitchen Methodist Church and the disused quarry to a point 293 metres south-east of its junction with Redwood Lane
